JCU Open Day is on this Sunday, 21 August in Cairns from 10.00am - 2.30pm. The library will be open from 10am - 5pm, so come along and join in the fun.

- One World, Many Stories Children’s Book Week Display. Come and browse the 2011 short listed titles. There will be colouring activities for kids. The Australian children’s literature display can be viewed throughout the day.
- Special Collections Treasures - Looking for something unique, interested in the history of North Queensland? Learn how to look after your treasures in a tropical climate from our display about conservation for your own collections.
- Try your luck in the Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win a Kindle e-book reader
